Environmental disposal services
Environmental disposal services are
offered by Greenleaf Environmental Services, Inc in parts of the mid
atlantic states. Environmental disposal may involve liquids, solids,
slurries, powders, gases and the tanks or containers in which such
materials are contained.
Environmental chemicals which must sent for
permitted and proper disposal may be Hazardous by USEPA and State
DEP regulations. Materials may also be non-hazardous by EPA/DOT
Regulations, Universal wastes or in Pennsylvania, Residual Wastes.
Greenleaf can offer safe alternatives for
non-landfill disposal for many varied chemical materials. This can
include thermal destruction through incineration or fuels blending,
the latter method being known to be a "recycling" method of
disposal. Universal Wastes including oils, oil/water
mixes and some batteries can be sent for recycling. Certain oils and
oil mixes are incinerated. Some aqueous glycol coolant or chiller
solutions are sent for disposal by recycling while others are sent
for disposal by incineration. Obsolete, Expired or Excess Chemicals
with environmental restrictions are sent for correct disposal.
Laboratory chemicals which are
environmentally coded as oxidizers, corrosive, toxic, flammable,
reactive or even radioactive can be properly packaged, protocoled,
labeled and sent for disposal with proper manifests and shipping
documents.
Above Ground Storage Tanks (ASTs) and Under
Ground Storage Tanks (USTs) may contain materials with an impact on
the environment. When necessary, they can be properly cleaned and
dismantled for disposal. If such storage tanks are servicable,
mandantory inspections and cleanings can be provided to extend their
useful service as storage devices.
Tote, drums or pail containers, which are
empty but had contained environmental materials can be
properly recycled or sent for disposal. Those containers that may
still contain small amounts of material can be sent for proper
disposal, as well.
